Probabilistic Collapse Design and Safety Assessment of Sandwich Pipelines

چکیده
This paper presents an approach for probabilistic design and safety assessment of sandwich pipelines under external pressure. The methodology consists the categorisation pipeline collapse strength models based on interlayer adhesion conditions. are validated by comparing their predictions against test data pipelines. accuracy prediction uncertainty used to select best model in each category. Regarding categories, propagation models’ over a wide range is assessed Monte Carlo simulation method. proposed demonstrated using case study with adequate modelling basic random variables. Different limit states defined three categories pipelines, which structural reliability indices estimated. In employing First Order Reliability Method sensitivity analysis, importance variables evaluated. Later, parametric analysis conducted, presenting variations several operational scenarios Finally, achieve uniform level few suggestions provided, practical partial factors calculated. results present can provide guidance
